It's likely the same version but it's that's what I did. Join Date Mar 2006 Location In the middle of the Atlantic on the island of Newfoundland! In fact the PS3 sees the media server but gives this error if I try to access shared media. Looks interesting, I think that's something like like my former coworker was using. http://www.universalmediaserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2395
I also download movies from various "newsgroups" and the Oplay can play a variety of media formats http://gizmodo.com/5415699/asus-opla...-the-new-champ Just network it with your PC, connect to your TV.. I have googled this topic several times, but I'm finding that I'm led all over the place...some of the info is a couple years old...It's just not working out. Does the PS3 have WiFi (or, if I get one do I also need to buy something so it can talk to my router)? Please try the request again. I just installed the ps3 media server and it's so much easier to use...and faster. When I originally set up my PS3, I could stream videos, music, photos, etc from my PC to my PS3.

My use of PC and TV are quite separated at the moment -- just want to be sure I'm not missing anything. http://www.team-osg.com/forum/showthread.php?4968-DLNA-Protocol-error-2006-on-PS3 Post navigation ← Shut Down Error Sequoia Error Writing Data → Search Striker WordPress Theme Powered By WordPress How to fix Media Server Error Dlna Protocol Error 2006 Has Occurred Dlna Error 2104 Ps3 Media Server I have read somewhere that it could be related to XP patches that came our early January. Dlna Protocol Error 2104 I'll try your suggestion, but if I run PS3 Media server I don't have these issues, so it seems like it's a UMS problem not a PS3 problem.
