But I don't want to do a full system recovery unless I'm forced to by a RAID array or drive failure.
Recently I did get some chkdsk errors on my RAID 0 array which caused the second drive to also display the Error Occurred (0) message. Helix and Computed Index Fields with DI Can unconnected inputs make an IC get warm? I dont know what that means, and I can't even be sure its the same drive from the RST program.

This utility was built into the BIOS of my machine which was from 2004, so you should probably have the same. I have ran the "HD Tune Test" and there is no bad sectors, yet when reading around people have ran a program called "Intel Matrix Console" so I ran this program I downloaded the WD diagnostics, it found a bad spot that SMART had been trying to report. Leave the disk in the DVD drive , you'll be booting from it in a minute. In here the drives show the reported error as well. All service packs and updates installed. But did you just install it from Windows or the F6 boot method. http://caribtechsxm.com/error-occurred/raid-error-occurred.php But iTunes was still hanging.

That is what everything I have read makes it sound like. As long as I don't run iTunes the computer is great.I have called Dell and iTunes and both seem to want to help but are too back logged with problems that What i did when my raid 5 failed is to use my single HDD to boot of and fix it that was as the OS would not boot. One of the thing I did notice, was that none of the programs I tried could read the SMART status of either drive. KruseLudington kept this thread alive and posted a fast, easy to understand solution in this final paragraph. I'm aware that SMART isn't directly accessible by the user or software with a RAID setup, but it seems that SMART still works within RAID and it is what the RAID Then if it does, I think my hard drive is ok (as from previous tests, nothing seems to be wrong) Then I will clock my system back to 3.5Ghz and see
