I'm not experienced enough in file system repair, to know whether there are any free tools available for inspecting data on a disk. I'll swap the supply for a bigger one, time will tell wether this was the root cause.
I learned the same way and with it being in Raid 5 at the time it took around 7 hours to check it for errors.. Since then, I have this error.Any suggestion?(sorry my poor english) Flag Permalink Reply This was helpful (0) Collapse - Cannot boot due to "error occurred(0)" by ivanthecat / October 2, 2009 Intel Rapid Storage Technology Raid Error Occurred (0) So how do I go about fixing it? Hints at an overal unclean design.... I learned a lesson the hard way years ago, where > > > a repair tool destroyed my recoverable data, to my shock and > > > horror. What does it mean? this page I just installed the newest Intel Matrix Storage Manager 7.6 in Windows Vista Ultimate in a RAID-0 setup.

I don't understand what Apple is doing (since that is the only software affecting this) to interfere with the Intel storage drivers in a RAID setup! The Intel RAID ROM utility pulled my leg here. At startup, I assume the processor and video card are running at half power. Intel Matrix Storage Manager Windows 7 I think the power supply is close to the edge.
It takes just 2 minutes to sign up (and it's free!). I was able to rescue data using Norton SystemWorks 2005 Premier rescue CD. As only one disk was reported to be in error, the manual described what I expected to happen: auto rebuild RAID after disk replacement. http://caribtechsxm.com/error-occurred/raid-error-occurred.php With knowing this, I think I am going to reinstall Left 4 Dead and then see if it plays fine.
RAID5 ought to be recoverable in single drive failures. > > When you are finished this exercise, I would configure the > machine permanently, to using a separate disk for the System Specs System Name: i7 Rig. Thank you for helping us maintain CNET's great community. It finished while I backupped the data. All was great untill I rebooted the pc, it would pass the bios then the pc wouldnt continue to load into windows.Booted into safe mode, sys restored back to before I I removed the drive reported in error, no boot or rebuild.
Disabling one controller in BIOS will result in a boot error if you disable the one with the disks attached (no drives found or some such error). Try this with a minimal amount > > > > > of test data on the array, and see if the data survives the > > > > > repair procedures, In here the drives show the reported error as well.
